Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Gift

Maria Fareri Children's Hospital's Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy department bridges the gap between home and the hospital by providing developmental and age-appropriate activities designed to help hospitalized children understand and adapt to the hospital experience.

We can only help children and families at holiday time because of the kindness of individuals like you. Any hospitalization can be stressful, but spending a holiday in the hospital can be very upsetting for children and families. Normal family holiday traditions, celebrations with family and friends, holiday shopping, and the joy of the season can be overshadowed by a child's illness. Your gifts go a long way toward brightening a child's stay in the hospital. Your support is greatly appreciated!

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

• For infection control and safety reasons, we are unable to accept toys that represent violence; toys made of glass, wood or brittle plastic or latex balloons.
• We are only able to accept brand new toys. This includes stuffed animals that have not been played with but have been displayed or on shelves at home.
• Maria Fareri Children's Hospital is non-denominational, so we ask all donors to respect the beliefs of our patients by not including religious gifts.
• Please do not wrap gifts as it makes it easier for us to personalize each child's gift box. We will, however, accept long rolls of wrapping paper.
• Our staff will be assisting Santa during the holidays and would greatly appreciate all donations to arrive before Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
• Please email ChildLifeHolidayDonations@WMCHealth.org to arrange a delivery date and time in advance. We cannot accept toys dropped off without an appointment.
