Dr. Matloff is an active researcher involved in multiple projects to better improve the care of children with kidney disease. She has been a study delegate evaluating treatment of anemia in chronic kidney disease and prevention of viral disease post-renal transplant. She is the lead investigator of a study examining the incidence of chronic kidney disease and hypertension in children with liver disease and liver transplantation. She has presented her work at multiple national conferences and published a review of this topic in the Journal of Pediatric Transplantation.

Dr. Matloff is well regarded for her commitment to medical education. She is dedicated to fostering a better understanding and appreciation for pediatric nephrology in residents and medical students.

Special Clinical Interest: All aspects of kidney disease and hypertension (high blood pressure), including proteinuria (protein in the urine), hematuria (blood in the urine), nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, cystic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease, acid/base and electrolyte disorders, kidney stones, renal transplantation and dialysis.

Dr. Matloff treats infants, children and adolescents, with a particular interest in the transition process from pediatric to adult sub-specialty care.
