Vistors

Facilitate Rest and Recovery

We encourage family and friends to visit your child and it is up to your discretion to determine who can visit, when they visit, and how long they stay. Your child's health, and the health of other children in the hospital, is paramount, so please share your visitation plans with your child's nursing staff in case there are any concerns that need to be addressed. It is very important that any visitors who are not feeling well postpone their plans.

Keep in mind that your child needs rest periods during the day to facilitate recovery and that this should be considered when scheduling visits. Rest is an important part of the recovery process. Please keep this in mind when scheduling visits and feel free to make plans with your treatment team's input to provide an environment that is conducive to healing.

If younger children are visiting, please be sure they have adult supervision at all times. Although the playrooms may be an enticing draw for young visitors, they are for patient use only due to infection control needs. Please help us in making sure that visiting children do not use these areas.
