Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction for Hernias in Cirrhotic and Post-transplant Patients

Thursday, May 6, 2021
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

On May 6th, 2021, the Liver Transplant Program at Westchester Medical Center is very proud to have Dr. Rifat Latifi, the Chairman of Surgery at Westchester Medical Center, deliver a live CME webinar titled "Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction for Hernias in Cirrhotic and Post-transplant Patients." Abdominal wall hernias are all-to-common in our pre- and post-transplant patients. If inadequately addressed, the results can be devastating. This webinar will review the complexity of hernia repair in cirrhotic and post-transplant patients, demonstrate the technique for repair in cirrhotic patients with and without active ascites, and review the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to patients with large and debilitating hernias.
