Jodi Meilman Andreozzi Family Resource Program and Center

Offering Comfort and Support to Pediatric Patients and their Family Members

The Jodi Meilman Andreozzi Family Resource Program and Center is located on the first floor of Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Room 1118. It is overseen by a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The Jodi Meilman Andreozzi Family Resource Center’s Director, Mary Delaney is available to meet with families to assist with their needs during their child’s hospitalization. Mary may be contacted at 914.493.8503 or emailed at Mary.Delaney@WMCHealth.org .

The Center is a welcoming, relaxed setting with a comfortable sofa and several chairs and is the home of an extensive library of books for children, teens and adults in English, Spanish and Hebrew. The Center is equipped with 4 computers, a networked printer and has access to a photocopier and fax machine.

The focus of the Jodi Meilman Andreozzi Family Resource Program and Center is to assist families of hospitalized children with supportive services according to the family’s individual needs. Families utilize this space for a variety of reasons including:

  • Talk to a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who understands how difficult it is to have a child in the hospital
  • Learn about the resources within the hospital (ie, the volunteer driven Family Laundry Room, the Ronald McDonald House of the Hudson Valley, food choices on and off campus, the Westchester Medical Center Care Giver Center, etc.)
  • Use the computers to access e-mail and conduct searches for topics including healthcare, parenting or finances
  • Borrow books for children, teens or adults
  • Get away for a few minutes to relax and rejuvenate without being far from your child’s bedside.

An invaluable addition to the Center is the multi-talented volunteer force who prides themselves in being flexible and available to help families in whatever way needed. The volunteers assist with a variety of services including bringing books to the patient's bedside through the traveling library program; staffing the Family Laundry Room or providing outreach and emotional support in the Pediatric Emergency Room.

The Center is open 8am to 8pm daily.

The Director is available Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm.
