Cellular Therapy

Westchester Medical Center now offers FDA-approved CAR T-Cell Therapies that use your own immune system to fight certain types of cancer.

CAR T-cell therapy is a form of immunotherapy that involves using your own immune cells to fight your cancer. The specific immune cells (T-Cells) are isolated from the blood stream and genetically modified to produce new cells called chimeric antigen receptors (CARS) T-cells. Once these new CAR T-cells are reinfused back into the body, they are able to target and attack your cancer cells.
